Why Join Us

We are a motivated and enthusiastic team, driven by our mission to support and share Inuit artistic excellence. You will be surrounded by hardworking and dedicated team members who share the common vision of the arts ability to transform lives. You will bring the best of circumpolar art to the world, increasing the visibility of artists and cultural workers in national and international contexts.

We value curiosity and creativity in our team, and believe in life-long learning. We are committed to professional development via hands-on training, mentorship, conferences, workshops and travel opportunities. We know a strong workplace is rooted in mutual respect and believe that diversity and inclusion are crucial to our shared success as a team.

Located in the Junction Triangle neighbourhood in Toronto, ON, the IAF’s newly renovated, bright and airy offices are located in an accessible, converted heritage building, adjacent to the West Toronto Railpath. However, IAF staff work across Canada, so team members are not required to be located in Toronto unless specifically noted in job postings.

Internships

The Inuit Art Foundation is committed to supporting and nurturing the next generation of arts and cultural workers in Canada. We are pleased to offer paid full-time internship positions annually, with intake in both the summer (4 month placement) and fall (6 month placement). These positions provide participants with meaningful, career-focused experiences that enable them to expand their resumes and build transferable skills.

Specific positions and projects vary by year.

"During my five months as the Editorial Assistant for the Inuit Art Quarterly, I met some of the most dedicated people I have ever known. Their passion for augmenting the voices and achievements of Inuit and their talent in doing so inspired me throughout my entire internship, and continues to inspire me today."

—Claire Christopher, Editorial Assistant 2017–2018
